With more than 25 years’ experience in the construction industry, Ed Uzan has built California Builders from the ground up. Strong leadership and communication skills are essential components necessary to navigate a construction project from conception to completion. His knowledge of all trade areas involved in new construction and sophisticated renovations has proven invaluable to the company and its clients. Mr. Uzan’s recognition of the importance of scheduling, cost control, and quality control underlies his successful completion of many challenging projects on time and within budget. Combining technical expertise, field experience, and executive ability, he brings a uniquely comprehensive perspective to all of his projects.

EYU Construction Inc. was built on a childhood dream of Mr. Uzan’s. As an adolescent overseeing the masterpiece homes that his family meticulously created and built, Ed dreamed that one day he would follow in the same footsteps as his predecessors. At just a young boy, Mr. Uzan witnessed and understood the transformation of a home thereby the families that occupied them.

With the steadfast commitment to live his childhood dream of creating masterpiece homes like that of his family, Mr. Uzan decided to go to work at a very young age for a family friend who coincidentally worked in the same industry, construction. Beginning as a simple apprentice, Ed Uzan worked hard to learn the trade, a conviction that paid off in just 8 short years, when he was named partner of the company.

Shortly after the millennium Mr. Uzan decided it was time to pursue his own interests, what would be the beginning of fulfilling his dream. Mr. Uzan created EYU, what is now a long-standing development and construction company. Soon after EYU had proven itself Ed found an innovative way to further the success of EYU by bringing the construction component of the trade in-house rather than out-sourcing and sub-contracting. Due to his experience in the industry, Mr. Uzan understood that having the ability to create a one-stop shop rather than sub-contracting would not only lower the cost dramatically but also make the construction component seamless for the client, ultimately creating a higher-end masterpiece with exceptional service along the way. This decision soon paid off, clients quickly experienced the benefits of having the Developer and Contractor under one roof.

To date EYU Construction Inc. continues to be one of the very few Elite companies operating in such a fashion, having transformed thousands of homes and the families that occupy them.
